Institutionalized Slavery.

It is often said, when you settle for less than you deserve you actually end up with less than what you actually settled for.
How?
Over The Years The Black Race and Culture Has been On The receiving end Of All Inequities. History Records the Enslaving Of Black People In The Western States As Early As The 18thcentury. Slavery Was by Then The most Notable Effect Of Colonization. Every Dawning Day Saw the Transportation Of Thousands Of Africans To The Western Nations To Work In Farms And Industries at The Most Despicable Conditions Imaginable By The average Human Mind.

All This was of course buried in The avenues Of History when Slavery Was Abolished. It was a revolution that gave The Black People In Every Corner Of The World A Realization Of Existence, a Voice, a Purpose And A direction. It Was Not an Easy task And Took People With Will And Character Such as Harriett Turbman, Malcom X, Marcus Garvey and key African leaders Such as Julius Nyerere, Nelson Mandela, Jomo Kenyatta And Leopold Senghor Among Others.

Avenues Such as Wars, legislative Amendments, boycotts and Demonstrations were Exhaustively Used In A Bid To Achieve Self actualization. The World Was Brought On Its knees As Black People Rose To Their Feet. But did This Revolution bring About The Freedom we All Craved for? Are The Conditions Of Life Those That Martin Luther King Jr. Dreamt About? Are We Really Free?
The Answers to These Queries Are Both Yes And No. We are Free To Walk This Earth With No Restriction, We Have Functioning Black Governments and We Posses The Ability To make Our own Decisions. So yes We Are Free. But Ask Yourself, how Many 3Rd world Countries Do Not Owe The World Bank? What Is The life Cycle Of an Average Black Man in The United States Of America? Taking Kenya As A Case Study, in Estimate Any new born Baby Owes the World Bank Seven Thousand Kenyan Shillings. This of course Increases as One grows As A Kenyan Citizen for The Country Still Takes Loans Increasing The Debt Owed. This gives certain countries an influence over Kenya’s decision making in Economic, political and social Issues. Isn’t This Dependence?
Aren’t we Still Slaves? In USA An Average Black Man Has Up to 30 years Of age To exhibit Maximum Strength And Zeal. Research Shows That chances of A Black Youth Surviving Past 25 years Of Age And Becoming A Successful Black Man are Quite Slim. Most Die By the Hands Of The Police, Drive-by’s And the Rest End Up In prisons. This is because the black man’s school of thought has been dictated upon and constrained.
So I ask again, are we free?
By the words of Bob nesta Marley, freedom is the emancipation of the human mind from mental slavery. Who will therefore free us? It is often said that, we are all given eyes but no one will teach you how to see.
Just recently HarrietTurbman a legend who freed black Americans from slavery was made the face of the twenty dollarbill.

So I ask is this a move to indicate black people rise into power or is it a move to make a legend the new icon of slavery?Yes we got freedom but we need to purpose mental awakening.
